The Secret Global Court – Why Corporate Criminals and Corrupt Politicians Desperately Want the TPP

Obama needs to ensure he gets well compensated after leaving office for a job well done protecting, defending and further enriching the global oligarch class. This is precisely why he’s so adamant about passing the TPP during the upcoming lame duck session of Congress, when he knows “representatives” who no longer face reelection can be coerced or bribed into voting for this monumental public betrayal.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) ins’t really a free trade deal, it’s a way for global oligarchs to consolidate, grow and protect their enormous wealth. The investor-state dispute settlement system (ISDS) is perhaps the most nefarious and objectionable aspect of the deal...

The "Totalitarian Tip-Toe" Dance of John Key and his Gang of Thugs and Liars Continues. Spy Agency to Get New Powers

During the run-up to the 2013 election Edward Snowden alleged that New Zealand had asked the US National Security Agency to use its PRISM technology to spy on New Zealanders on the government’s behalf. Prime Minister (and then GCSB Minister) John Key had strongly denied doing so:

[Key] replied, “Well we do exchange – and it’s well known – information with our partners – so that’s the first thing, we do do that. How they gather that information and whether they use techniques and systems like PRISM I can’t comment on that…..The Prime Minister continued: “I can’t tell you how the United States gathers all of their information and what techniques they use. I simply don’t know that.” He added, “If the question is, ‘Do we use the United States or one of our other partners to circumvent New Zealand law?’ then the answer is categorically no we don’t.”

A bit of cash can keep someone off the streets for 2 years or more

If someone is about to become homeless, giving them a single cash infusion, averaging about $1000, may be enough to keep them off the streets for at least 2 years. That’s the conclusion of a new study, which finds that programs that proactively assist those in need don’t just help the victims—they may benefit society as a whole.

“I think this is a really important study, and it’s really well done,” says Beth Shinn, a community psychologist at Vanderbilt University in Nashville who specializes in homelessness but was not involved in the work.

Previous studies have concluded that a single period of homelessness can cost taxpayers $20,000 or more, in the form of welfare, policing, health care, maintaining homeless shelters, and other expenses.

Winston Peters advocates for Peoples Public Credit

New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters in this speech stated that the use of the Peoples Public Credit is a good thing if done correctly for the right reasons.

It makes clear that Winston Peters has at least a reasonable understanding of the most important issue of all, the money system funding structure issue.

At the New Zealand First 2015 Party Conference Winston Peters lambasted National in his speech for its neo liberal economic policies, its “corporate” friends and above all, for its Reserve Bank policies which he argues partly lie behind what he sees as a forthcoming rural debt crisis.

At the same time NZ First MPs are critical of Labour for its divisiveness and its political correctness.

What does seem likely though, is that NZ First would require action on the Reserve Bank in any deal to support a Government.

Corrupt Liar Prime Minister John Key Announces Ambitious Plan to Make New Zealand Predator Free by 2050

This is a policy from this government that I can actually support. This is a first for me in 9 years. I would suggest that John Key and his gang of criminal thugs in parliament eliminate themselves to begin with. Then we need to eliminate the psychopaths in industry and corporations. Following that the country can then move onto killing all the possums, rats and stoats. This place could be an oasis in a civilisation that is burning to the ground.

Prime Minister John Key has today announced the Government has adopted the goal of New Zealand becoming Predator Free by 2050.

“While once the greatest threat to our native wildlife was poaching and deforestation it is now introduced predators,” Mr Key says.

Treasury vindicates Cannabis Party

Figures released by Treasury prove the economic viability of The Cannabis Party's policy, while destroying the credibility of police claims about cannabis harms.

The Treasury memo, released to lawyer Sue Grey under the OIA, shows that legalisation of cannabis would save the taxpayer $400m and would earn $150m in taxes annually. A total revenue of $550m.

The memo undermines the credibility of the police's drug harm index, which tries to justify prohibition by focusing on cannabis related harm to society.

However, these Treasury figures prove that law enforcement is actually responsible for the vast bulk of this harm to society.

For, the first time a government department has admitted that legalisation of cannabis will actually save the public hundreds of millions of dollars each year.

The Cannabis Party leader Julian Crawford said the treasury figures agree with his party's own estimates and prove that legalisation will add around $550m to the public purse each year.
