Drugs are Continuing to Win the War On Drugs

Drug use and possession has more than doubled in regional Victoria in the past five years, new crime figures show.

The Crime Statistics Agency report, which used data based on police records, showed big jumps in drug use and possession, particularly in small towns.

The Gisborne-Macedon area, north of Melbourne, saw a rise of more than 300 per cent in drug use in the last five years while in the state's east, the Warragul-Drouin region, recorded a jump in drug use of more than 200 per cent.

Ireland will move towards decriminalising substances including heroin, cocaine and cannabis as part of a “radical cultural shift”, the country's drugs minister has said.

Alexander Gillespie: Cannabis debate more urgent than nation's flag

Almost half of all New Zealand adults have tried it at some point in their lives. Despite this, police are still required to devote 580,000 hours and $100 million a year fighting the tide. The result of these efforts is not a dent in demand, but some 10,000 convictions for cannabis-related offences in the past six years.

Saudi Arabia executes people over drugs while its princes are caught with tons of drugs at the airport

Saudi prince Abdel Mohsen bin Walid bin Abdulaziz was caught in an airport in Lebanon on Monday with over two tons of drugs.

Lebanese security found 40 suitcases full of more than 4,000 pounds of amphetamine pills and cocaine on the prince’s private plane, which was on its way to Saudi capital city Riyadh. A security source told AFP that this was the largest smuggling operation ever foiled by Beirut International Airport security.

While this may seem like just another case of rich and powerful aristocrats going wild, the implications of this drug bust are much more insidious: In Saudi Arabia, people are executed over drugs. And not rarely — several times a month, on average.

Cannabis Oil Cures 3 Year Old Boy Of Cancer After Doctors Gave Him 48 Hours To Live

A young boy named Landon Riddle was diagnosed with Leukemia, and was told by his doctors that he only had an 8-10% chance of living for more than a day or two. “His whole chest was full of leukemia tumors, which is why he couldn’t breathe. They started him on chemo, but told us that he probably wasn’t going to make it,” his mother, Sierra Riddle said.

After two months of Chemotherapy, Landon became sick and would refuse to eat. According to his mother, he would vomit up to 50 times a day, and the doctors eventually lost hope, seeing no other solution than Chemotherapy.

Canada’s PM-Designate to Obama: I’m Withdrawing Canadian Forces from Iraq and Syria

The Liberal Party has vowed to end the prohibition of cannabis, but also ran on a much more dovish foreign policy platform. It seems that Prime Minister-designate Justin Trudeau was serious about his vow to remove Canada from foreign entanglements. Just hours after his announced victory, he received a phone call from U.S. President Barack Obama.

Trudeau confirmed in a press conference that during the call, he told Obama he would stick to “the commitments I have made around ending the combat mission.” One of those commitments is to withdraw Canada’s CF-18 fighter jets from the conflict in Iraq and Syria, effectively ending Canada’s fight against ISIS.

If John Keys Lips are Moving he is Lying

John Key on government law making regarding cannabis: "We work on an evidence and science-based approach and ... if someone wants to bring up a particular case for use to the minister's office in good faith he will look at it."

Bullshit John. You and your corrupt minions make your decisions based on how much money you and your corporate/and or bankster criminal buddies can funnel out of the hands of the ordinary man and into the hands of the wealthy. Not what is best for the public interest.

You do not give a shit about about sick and dying people. There is a plethora of studies showing huge promise with medicinal cannabis. You and your ministers like that corrupt clown Peter Dunne are wilfully ignoring the science that is out there. You are liars.
