Arafat Poisoning: Israel Is 'Only Suspect'

Palestinian investigators have described Israel as the "prime and only suspect" after tests suggested President Yasser Arafat died of polonium poisioning. Palestinian committee head Tawfiq Tirawi said only Israel had the means and the motive to kill Mr Arafat, who died at a French military hospital near Paris in 2004, a month after falling violently ill at his West Bank compound.

"We will continue to carry out a thorough investigation to find out and confirm all the details and all elements of the case," he said.
