(AUS) Clubbers, prepare to be scanned

ID-Tect is a sophisticated identification scanning system currently used in police cars and pubs around Australia, including the Casablanca Bar on Caxton Street. The technology encrypts the information contained on driver’s licenses, 18+ cards and passports and takes a 'real time' photo of the patron at the time of scanning.

After receiving a watermark to prevent misuse, the ID information and attached photograph then enters a database comprising details from the national network scanners on the manufacturer’s system.
